A Laurant Design historical replica. The Great Seal of Charles I, King of England 1625-1649. Charles I the second of his four seals unusually depicts the King riding to his left. Replaced the first seal when legend altered to read ‘Magnae Britanniae’ instead of Angliae et Scotiae’. Used from 1627 to 1640 when third seal reversed the legend again. Individually handmade in England. This historical replica has been reproduced from the original by Laurant Designs Ltd. by permission of Her Majesty’s Keeper of Public Records.
