- heavy wear and tearing to edges of paper; fraying to fabric edges; heavy toning to paper and fabric; heavy surface wear present to map, resulting in losses of image; tearing of fabric and paper along edge by wooden dowels; staining to outer margins of piece; large center crease through map; large holes and tears present throughout paper; dust and accretions present to front and verso of piece; large tear to upper left of piece; creasing present throughout piece.
