Napoleonic Prisoner of War Straw Work Box, Early 19th Century

Item Details

Created by a French prisoner held in England this box is constructed of staw and bone. Prisoners would spend their time crafting boxes and other trinkets out of found materials and sold at markets held weekly or even daily at the camps.
