- minor distortion with variation in width and depth; significant traffic wear; areas of low pile, with much of surface at level of knot collars; matted residue in pile; freckling to pile; spot staining and dye faded unevenly; loose dust and fiber residue; pulled and broken yarn to selvedge binding, with sections of exposed selvedge; uneven lengths to fringe; one end with section of lost pile and separating foundation; ends with re-binding stitches in fringe.
