Richard Allen George was born in Chicago and spent much of his youth in Ontario, Canada. He received his BFA from State University Buffalo, then studied at the Art Students League of New York before attaining his MFA at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The artist traveled extensively and made his living as a full-time artist in Middletown, Ohio until his untimely death in 1990.
