- uneven color variations and faded colors; uneven wear to pile height; loss, snags, and broken yarn to edges; complete loss of selvedge to a portion of one side with loose side warps and fraying into weave; creasing due to storage; discoloration, soiling, and loose surface debris; distortion with variations in width and depth; fraying weave and loss into borders from all corners and both fringe ends; stabilizing stitches to prevent further loss along fringe ends; pile loss indicative of insect damage noted at one corner.
