- distortion with variations in width and depth; soiling and discoloration throughout; faded colors in pile; uneven wear to pile, with scattered areas of visible knot collars; snags to selvedge binding; selvedges appear to have been re-bound; varying lengths in fringe; loose surface debris; snags to fringe yarn ends; fringes have been cropped close to body of rug, with loss from either end into main border and support stitching to prevent further fray.
