- examined under UV light, object presents signs of inpainting throughout; repaired patches to verso; significant craquelure, flaking, scratching, scuffing, accretions, discoloration, and possible water damage to paint and varnish; visible variation in degree of damage and weathering to the painting, likely where the artwork was previously partially covered by a frame; fraying, thinning, and looseness to canvas at the lower edge of the painting where it has come unattached from the stretcher.
