Additional Information Provenance: the Henrietta Fischer batiks were acquired from the estate of Fred Gruen (of the Gruen Watch Company, Cincinnati, Ohio). Ms. Fischer, Fred Gruen’s sister-in-law, was an accomplished and exhibited artist.

- tears to fabric panels, including shattered silk to both lining and velvet of blue landscape batik panel; cracks and loss of painted detail on landscape panel; loose threads; creases and wrinkles; some loose threads; residual odor present to all; faded colors and discoloration.
