- low pile wear and loss with exposed knot collars, visible foundation, and threadbare areas scattered throughout; abrash, crocking, uneven fade, and light discoloration to pile; matted pile, creases, and buckling to rug from folded storage; gaps and loss to selvedge binding along one side; broken yarns and snags to selvedge binding; fraying to weave at one end; light discoloration and variation in length of fringe; distortion to form with variation in width and depth.
