The doctor has done an absolutely superb job of describing depth using a plethora of singular and combined tonalities to evoke a deep richness of this landscape. The curving rural road with mountains in the background makes a stunning scene. The mark making is expressive and effectively suggestive, fooling and winning us over all at once.
