Late 19th Century Mahogany Writing Box

Item Details

A late 19th century French antique mahogany writing desk box with an inlaid brass plaque on the lid opens to a fold-out writing surface covered in deep purple velvet. The box has two inkwells without lids, and two lidded compartments. The compartment for stationary and other items is below the writing area.
