A lot of ‘Paris’ by Auguste Vitu, a folio published in Paris by Maison Quantin in 1889. The book is quarter bound in dark green leather with marbled boards and endpapers. A marvelous antique folio sized book detailing the history of Paris during La Belle Epoque when Paris was the chic center of both culture and art. Napoleon III had beautified the city by creating expansive parks and tree lined boulevards. The book has 450 drawings and maps throughout to include a double page panorama of Paris and the Eiffel tower.

Condition

, overall the book is in good condition. The outer boards show much rub wear to the edges and head and tail of the spine but the interior pages are in very good condition with little age toning and little to no foxing.
