Additional Information | Cordell Hull was a Tennessee politician, and Secretary of State from 1933-1944. He conceived the idea of the United Nations, under the Presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt. He is known as the Father of the United Nations for his idea, outlined in this document and titled “Possible Plan for A General International Organization”, dated April 29, 1944. The document is signed by Cordell at the top of the first page, and it was originally classified Secret, as noted at the top left corner. The signature was given a visual pass by a third-party, however there is no paperwork to accompany this document. |
