Phiris Sickels specializes in watercolor paintings, creating expressive abstract forms and colorful compositions to create playful scenes of cityscapes and everyday life. When discussing her art, she expressed, “I hope that people can see that I‘m having fun and that they also enjoy my work.” Sickels studied Fine Arts at the Carnegie Institute of Technology, she is on the board at the Pittsburgh Society of Artists, the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, and co-manager of the Eastside Gallery, Pittsburgh.

Condition

- some paper and tissue fragments extend past the edges of the board; chipping, creases, and small tears to paper that extend off the board; some papers delaminating at edges; board slightly warped.
