- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, dents/bends, light cracks, and abrasions consistent with age and use (back of lid with a slightly larger dent and small hole to metal overlay near top of one hinge); refinished and with scattered wear; variable oxidation/rust; leather handles have been replaced; interior has been lined in later contact paper; two of the lid slats with etched letters, one of which appears to read “WILL MAPSHALL”.
