A Roll of Twenty Booker T. Washington Commemorative Silver Half Dollars. These 1946-P and -S half dollars feature a right-facing Booker T. Washington to the obverse and a depiction of the slave cabin he was born in and Tompkins Hall on the campus of Tuskegee University to the reverse. Designer: Isaac Scott Hathaway. Metal content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: 30.60 mm (each). Weight: approximately 12.50 grams (each). Coins appear uncirculated.1946 Mintages: Philadelphia: 700,546 and San Francisco: 500,279.
