Hartmann Luggage created Skymate lightweight luggage in the 1950s. The 3-piece set includes a Poudre train case, a 19” overnight case, and a 22” garment case. Each Series 938 piece features a rawhide exterior with coated trim and brass corner protectors, gold tone hardware, including YALE locking clasp closures and a chevron quilted textile interior. The two suitcases have clear acrylic ID holders affixed to the left sides. The larger garment case retains vintage luggage decals from Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (French Line) and a 1950s era United States Customs Service baggage sticker.

- residual odor to all interiors; grip wear to handles with soiling, staining and some thread frays at stitching; rawhide exteriors with variant discoloration, staining, scuffs and scratches; scratches and finish loss to hardware; textile wear to linings including soiling and staining.
- Poudre train case: missing key; area of rawhide deterioration on the exterior base; finish loss to mirror backing; yellowing to interior vinyl straps.
