Toned 1780 Spanish Colonial (Mexico) 8 Reales Silver Coin. Often considered ’America’s first silver dollar’ this coin was minted in Mexico City and features a right facing King Charles IV of Spain to the obverse and the royal coat of arms to the reverse between two pillars. Metal Content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: approximately 37mm. Weight: approximately 26.6 grams. The coin has been circulated with moderate wear.
