Born in Guthrie Center, Iowa, Lubkeman studied at the Columbus College of Art and Design. In addition to painting, he is a costume designer and has been involved with over 800 theatrical productions with the Columbus Children’s Theatre, Opera Columbus, and others. He is a member of the Ohio Art League. Lubkeman’s works have been exhibited at Lyle Gallery and Sharon Weiss Gallery and his works are held in the collections of the Ohio State University and the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
