Two Antique Shaker Wooden Buckets with Lids
Item Details
Two antique Shaker wooden buckets with lids. The larger of the two was traditionally used as an applesauce bucket, the smaller perhgaps as a sap pail, although each could have multiple uses. Made of pine,beech and elm, each piece has wooden bands around the top and bottom of the body and lid in a barrel-type design. The large bucket has a wire and wooden handle. The smaller bucket has a wooden handle supported by wooden dowels.
