| Additional Information | Chassepot bayonet has French language writing on spine of blade, and appears to have been manufactured in May of 1869. The quillion is imprinted with E 55340, while the scabbard is imprinted with F 83895. Gras bayonet also features French language writing on spine of blade, and appears to have been manufactured in 1878. It is imprinted with P 54757 on both the quillon and scabbard. |
