Proof Sterling Silver Charles Lindbergh Commemorative Medallions. These seven medals were issued by the International Silver Company of Meriden, Connecticut, and feature Lindberg in various scenes such as the 50th anniversary of the flight of the Spirit of Saint Louis, Lindberg as a scientist, explorer, the conservationist, the aviation pioneer, a wartime test pilot, and a developer of rocket power. The set is housed in a walnut display case and each medallion has a certificate of authenticity. The edges are stamped ‘INTERNATIONAL STERLING.’ Diameter: 38.85 mm. Weight: 31.8 grams (each smaller medallion). The medallions have little to no wear and light toning while the cardboard box has tears and water damage.
