Edrie Leah Clevenger Frandzel was born in Indiana and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Ball State. She did graduate work at the University of Chicago and received her formal artistic training from the Art Student’s League of New York and the National Academy of Design, where she studied under Robert Brackman (American, 1898 – 1980). She was the director of and taught at the Artists Showroom in Terre Haute, Indiana, and exhibited her paintings throughout the Midwest.

Condition

- curling to artwork from rolled storage; craquelure, scuffing, minor flaking, and accretions to paint; small holes in the margins of canvas from where the artwork was previously attached to stretchers.
