- pulled and loose threads in embroidery; discoloration and stains to panel throughout, heaviest in corners; colors faded unevenly throughout; scratches, abrasions, and small surface losses to frame; discolored adhesives, water damage, and rust stains from framing nails to verso, on frame backing and folded edges of silk panels; fragile and shattering silk along edges.
