The postal covers contain the historical event for the day on which they are postmarked and are housed on cards with information about the event. All the cards are housed in a black binder with gilt printing to the cover. Some of the events include the publishing of Common Sense, the Battle of Three Rivers, the Battle of Long Island, the Battle at Princeton, the arrival of the Marquis de Lafayette, Valley Forge, and many others.
