Evangelia Philippidis is an artist, illustrator, and teacher based in Columbus, Ohio. Born and raised to age nine in Athens, Greece, she relocated with her family to Ohio in the 1960s. Philippidis graduated from The Columbus College of Art & Design, where she now works as an adjunct educator in addition to her full-time position as an illustrator/designer for The Columbus Dispatch newspaper. Her award-winning scratchboard illustrations have been featured in major publications throughout the country, including the Washington Post, LA Times, and the Yale University Press.
