Shaw is best known for his striking black and white woodblocks focusing on the unsettling and hidden sides of urban life, demonstrating a potent representation of marginalized groups of society. Shaw’s oeuvre has been exhibited in various prestigious institutions including the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Taft Museum of Art.
