Dave Klug grew up in rural Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed the time alone to create his artworks and explore the forest and farmlands of his home. He studied at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and apprenticed under the guidance of magical realist artist Henry Koerer (1915 – 1991). Klug’s illustrations have captured a wide audience with commissions from CNN, NBC, Time, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Highlights, Reader’s Digest, and many more. In 2019, Dave Klug and his wife bought the St. Joseph German Catholic Church rectory in Carnegie, Pennsylvania to be used as a gallery and studio space for traveling artists and the community.
