- visible loss to much of the pile from significant uneven wearing down and possible moth damage; tear and threadbareness to rug within the border pattern of the pile towards one corner, as well as two smaller tears within the central field pattern; visible freckling, color variation, uneven wear, minor threadbareness, and discoloration to pile; tears, fraying, and threadbareness to selvedges; fraying, discoloration, unevenness, and loss to fringe and the edge of the pile at both ends of the rug, more significantly at the corners; variation in width and depth.
