1995 Commemorative Civil War Silver Coin Set. The lot contains a 1995-S commemorative Cilvil War proof silver dollar and clad half dollar. The dollar features a wounded soldier being held by a fellow soldier to the obverse and a quote by the 20th Maine’s Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain on the reverse. The half dollar coin has a child military drummer to the obverse and a cannon along a battlefield ridge to the reverse. For the silver dollar: Metal content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: 38.1 mm. Weight: 26.7 grams. For the clad half-dollar: Metal content: 92% copper, 8% nickel. Diameter: 30.6 mm. Weight: approximately 11.34 grams. Coins appear uncirculated.
