Ancient Phoenicia, Tyre AR Shekel Coin, Mentioned in Bible, ca. 30 B.C. Lot contains the famous ‘Shekel of Tyre’ that is attributed to the 30 pieces of silver that Judas used in the Bible. Obverse depicts the bust of Melkarth, and the reverse depicts an eagle. Metal Content: silver. Coin is circulated. Coin is held in a labeled lucite case (coin is removable).
