Item Details
An original watercolor on paper painting signed to the lower left, seemingly with the name R.J. Licktner. The artist has painted a dreary farm field fraught with hay bales top-tied in the old-fashioned manner that was used before the advent of modern mechanization. The heavy dark of night is implied in the landscape, this daunting hue used quite like foreshadowing. This lovely watercolor is presented in a wooden frame with double matting to edge.
Condition
- slightly wavy in the frame, the mat has begun molding along the right inner frame edge, scratching and typical wear to frame’s edges.
