An original watercolor on paper painting by thoroughly loved elementary school teacher and horticulturist of Gloucester, MA, Mary Nugent (1916-2011). The artist has rendered a phenomenally spirited floral explosion in beautifully vibrant colors. The daisies are impeccable and are backed by blue salvia, or perhaps snap dragons. This heartwarming watercolor, likely painted from life in the artist’s garden, features the artist’s obituary to the verso. Presented in a minimal wooden frame with a single white mat to edge.
Condition
- ever so slightly wavy in the frame, some mild denting to framed edge, otherwise in good shape.
