Born in 1901, Giacometti was a significant sculptor and printmaker. Influenced by Cubism and Surrealism, he began his career creating abstract portraits and objects, reminiscent of Picasso. After WWII, Giacometti became a leading figure in the Existentialist style, creating figural works that represent the anxiety and post-war trauma of human suffering. His art is featured in major collections throughout the world.

- vertical creasing and light discoloration down the center of print where the paper has been previously folded; minor toning to print and paper, most visibly along the edges of artwork; flecks of light particulates and accretions present between print, matting, and acrylic covering of frame; minor scratching and accretions to frame.
