- craquelure notably to the hair and edges of face; dents to canvas; overpainting to the left cheek and ear; overpainting over repaired tear to the upper left corner; minor areas of overpainting scattered throughout, figure, background, and edges of painting; stretcher marks; slight indent across the canvas from left stretcher across the eye line of figure; canvas appears to have been relined and restretched; cracks throughout molding; discoloration and grime to finish of frame; craquelure to finish of frame along coves; scratches and chips throughout molding; loss to molding along the upper edge.
