Contemporary ‘Hobo’ Style 1928 Buffalo Nickel. This coin’s obverse has been altered by a power engraving tool to give the right facing Native American a Plains style feathered headdress and ‘war paint’ while the reverse retains the original left facing buffalo. The coin is also marked with an ‘MB’ to the reverse. Designer: James Earle Fraser. Metal Content: 75% copper, 25% nickel. Diameter: 21.2 mm. Weight: approx. 5 grams. Circulated. Contemporary.
