Toned 1802 Carolus IIII Mexican Spanish Colonial Silver 8 Reales Coin. Often considered ’America’s first silver dollar,’ this coin features a right-facing King Charles IV of Spain to the obverse and the royal coat of arms to the reverse between two pillars. Metal Content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: approximately 37mm. Weight: approximately 26.6 grams. The coin has been lightly circulated with light wear; material missing to the obverse base and flaw to the rim. Encapsulated and toned.
