1936 Long Island Tercentenary Silver Half Dollar. This commemorative coin features a right-facing Dutch colonist overlapping a right-facing Algonquin man to the obverse while the reverse bears a right-facing 17th Century sailing ship under full sail. Designer: Howard Kenneth Weinman. Mintage: 81,826. Metal Content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: 30.6 mm. Weight: approx. 12.5 grams. The coin appears lightly circulated and has an older cleaning.
