1883 "No Cents" Liberty "V" Nickel

1883 ‘No Cents’ Liberty ‘V’ Nickel. This first year issue of the Liberty Nickel features a left facing Liberty ringed by thirteen stars to the obverse and a ‘V’ in a wreath of laurels to the reverse. The worded denomination of the coin is lacking to the reverse. Designer: Charles E. Barber. Mintage: 5,474,300. Metal Content: 75% copper, 25% nickel. Diameter: 21.2 mm. Weight: 5 grams. Coin appears uncirculated and lightly toned.
