Margot van Voorhies was a highly influential silversmith presiding in the city of Taxco, a hub of modernist, Mexican jewelry. Primarily working in colorful enamels she worked in traditional motifs evoking Mayan and Aztec designs as well as Egyptian, floral and serpent motifs.
