Art Deco Zenith Tube Radio Receiver Circa 1925-1940 in an Inlaid Oak Cabinet

Item Details

A vintage authentic early- to mid-20th century floor model Zenith tube radio receiver. Art Deco in design, the case appears to be walnut inlaid with beautiful mahogany and rosewood trim. The dial enables both standard broadcast and shortwave radio, with settings that appear to have allowed access to signals used by ‘Ships At Sea’, ‘Aviation’, ‘Police’, ‘Coast Guard’ and more. Shortwave capabilities extend to countries all over the world. Control panel is preset to then-local stations KVOD, KYLD, KLZ and more. Other buttons control Alto, Voice, Treble, Bass, Lo-Bass and Normal. The back is tagged with a repair notice dated 1942. A beautiful nostalgic piece.
