John Eastman is native to southwestern Pennsylvania and works in various studios in Pittsburgh. He is a self-taught artist working in abstraction, and in various mediums including wood sculpture. Many of Eastman’s artwork are inspired by the industrial history of western Pennsylvania which uses mixed media and minimalism that call to a larger series of works. His works have been exhibited in many institutions including Elan Fine Art Gallery, The Carnegie Museum of Art, and The Andy Warhol Museum.
