Diane Keane was born and raised in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania and is known for her mixed media assemblage boxes, cut and paste paper collages, and occasionally paintings. Her work is inspired by her Roman Catholic upbringing, from its architecture to the concepts and mysteries of religion itself. She studied graphic design at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and is a certified calligrapher from Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Keane is a member of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Society of Artists, and the Calligraphy Guild of Pittsburgh, and her work has been exhibited all over the world including Mannheim, Germany and London, England.
