McLaughlin is an accomplished ceramic sculptor, print maker, and mosaic artist. She received a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, studying Medical Technology and minored in Art, Biology, and Chemistry. Later, she received a Master’s of Fine Arts degree in ceramics from West Virginia University. Laura is an active artist in her community and often collaborates on art projects throughout Pittsburgh. She was exhibited at many organizations including the Mobile Museum of Art, Ohio Craft Museum, the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Baltimore Institute of Art, and The State Museum of Pennsylvania. Laura’s work has been collected by public and private collections such as the City of Pittsburgh, The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Whole Foods Market, Kohler Company, and HBO.
