Michel Blázquez is a Cuban-American artist. Born in 1972, he studied at a vocational school for art in Havana, and exhibited work at a number of galleries there as he attended the National School of Fine Art at San Alejandro (Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes ‘San Alejandro’), graduating in 1991 with his degree in painting and printmaking. Since moving to the United States, Michel has exhibited work at QbaVa Gallery in New Jersey and Jadite Galleries in New York City, among others. In 2005 he released a book of poetry with an accompanying exhibition of paintings titled HAIKUBANOS at Gallery ARS Atelier in New Jersey, and in 2011 he crossed the Atlantic for the show Hypothesis in London.
