"Cream of Cincinnati" Bottle from The Rod & Reel Café, Cincinnati, Ohio
Item Details
Per the seller’s family history, this bottle is considered to be the ‘last bottle’ off the shelf at the closing of Charlie Losacker’s Rod & Reel Café, on 1017 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio. Displayed on the back bar, however, it might simply be a bottle used to dispense the house blend of whiskey-like moonshine. Between 1920 and 1933 the Rod & Reel Café was listed as a malt and hops store, which sold items to make legal home brews.
