This coin commemorates the Buffalo Nickels of the early 20th Century in conjuncture with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian and features a right facing Native American to the obverse and left facing American Buffalo to the reverse. Designer: James Earle Fraser. Mintage: 227,131. Metal content: 90% Silver, 10% copper. Diameter: 38.1mm. Weight: approximately 26.7 grams. Coin appears uncirculated and is encapsulated.
