Antique Damascus Sewing Machine Table

Item Details

An antique Damascus sewing machine table originally sold by Montgomery Ward, circa 1925. The walnut table has four drawers and a closing lid, that when raised exposes the treadle-operated sewing machine. The machine is gorgeously decorated in gold script and filigree. This is a pre-electronic model, therefore sewing motion is completed by manipulation of the foot treadle. Table top sits atop a black cast iron base with metal casters. Comes with original instruction manual.

Condition

Original motion belt is present, but stretched to near breaking. Would need to be replaced and mechanism would need to be oiled for proper operation.
