An 1878-S Trade Silver Dollar. This coin features a left facing Liberty holding an olive branch and stalks of wheat to the obverse and a raised wing eagle clutching arrows and olive branches to the reverse. The reverse also reads ‘420 grains 900 fine.’ Designer: William Barber. Mintage: 4,162,000. Metal Content: 90% silver 10% copper. Diameter: 38.10 mm. Weight: approximately 27.20 grams. Coin appears circulated with light wear.
